Catalogue of the Polychaeta collected by the Siboga Expedition and type specimens of Polychaeta in the Zoological Museum of Amsterdam Naturalis
Bleeker, J.; Spoel, S. van der.
The polychaetous worms collected by the Siboga-Expedition (1899-1900) are listed with some annotations. A few specimens – identified by Augener and Pettibone but never published – are added, so that this list gives a complete survey of all Polychaeta collected by the mentioned expedition. The types of 269 nominal species present in the Institute of Taxonomic Zoology (Zoological Museum), Amsterdam are incorporated in this list, for some species lectotypes are desinated.

Distribution of Myctophidae (Pisces, Myctophiformes) during the four seasons in the mid North Atlantic Naturalis
Spoel, S. van der; Bleeker, J..
The distribution, temperature, and size ranges of 60 species of myctophids in the North Atlantic between 55°N and 24°N along approximately 30°W are recorded for the four seasons. The general zoogeography and migration is discussed. Faunal groups of species, faunal borders, and transition zones near 50°N, 41 °N, and 29°N for myctophids are distinguished and discussed.

From Cavolinia longirostris to twenty-four Diacavolinia taxa, with a phylogenetic discussion (Mollusca, Gastropoda) Naturalis
Spoel, S. van der; Bleeker, J.; Kobayasi, H..
The six already known infraspecific taxa in Cavolinia longirostris (De Blainville, 1821), presently in the genus Diacavolinia, are raised to species rank and sixteen species and two formae new to science are described in this genus from different oceanic areas. Some shell structures in the Cavoliniinae are described for the first time and the phylogeny of the group is discussed.

Medusae of the Amsterdam Mid North Atlantic Plankton Expeditions (1980-1983) with description of two new species Naturalis
Bleeker, J.; Spoel, S. van der.
The medusa fauna of the mid North Atlantic Ocean between 24° and 55° N along approximately 30° W is studied. Two Hydromedusae new to science, Oceania tydemani and Annatiara lempersi, are described. The differences in fauna south and north of 42° N, and faunal borders near 50°, 48°, 45°, 35°, 30°, and 34°-37° N are discussed. The vertical distribution and for some species the diurnal migration and subtropical submergence are recorded.
